[random traces of me]
I've been collaborating with cartoonist Stefan DeCarlo as a collective called The Sticky Friends. The results are ongoing, fun, strange, and should most likely be investigated at a NSFW-proof environment. I was thanked in the dedication of Geoff Vasile's comic Track Rabbit #3. After a particularly eventful night out, comic artist Darick Robertson scribbled myself and two friends into the cover for one of the Transmetropolitan trade paperbacks. The writer Warren Ellis has been kind enough to include my photographs every so often on in his Flickr mosaic postings, and has even mentioned me a smattering of times on his website When I was 7, I was cast for a statue. A full scene was constructed by a sculpture class in Newark, NJ, but while the students did most of the work, thier teacher took sole credit, as well as ferretting away one of the abandoned alternative versions of me, cutting off the head, dipping in in bronze, and selling it as a work of art. The statue series, creatively entitied "The Commuters", has been bronzed and is still on display in Newark's Penn Station. I had one of the first 200 images chosen for the Pace/McGill Gallery's Flickr Selfportraits show in Manhattan, a photo of "Love Saves the Day" for an article in The Gothamist, and I've one of my favorite selfportraits used for a NowPublic news story. |
